What is the Gig List?
▼
The Gig List is a list of live music in Stoke on Trent and surrounding areas. It was created by Dave Poole as a spreadsheet in the Facebook group "Keep Live Music Alive". The interface was developed by Geoff Berrow. It was made by musicians for the benefit of other musicians and all lovers of live music.
Where does the gig data come from?
▼
It comes from you! It is completely free for artists and venues add their gigs to the list.
How do I add my gig to the list?
▼
You can add your gig by using this form or by using the button at the top of the home page. Be sure to add as much information as you can - add the venue address (there are several 'Red Lions') so people can find you.
What sort of gigs do you list?
▼
The aim of the list is to promote live music so sorry, no DJs, Karaoke, bingo or quizzes.
What if I make a mistake, or the gig is cancelled?
▼
No problem. Just use this form to request a change.
Can I search for a specific artist or venue?
▼
Yes! You can use the search bar at the top of the gig list to instantly filter by artist name, venue, genre, or date.
Can I share my gigs with others?
▼
Yes, you can share your search. For instance, type the name of your band or venue in the search bar. Check the results and if all is ok, use the 'Copy Search Link' button to copy the link to your clipboard. You can then paste that link into your social media, email, web page etc.
What else does it do?
▼
Click any row to show just the gigs on that day, click again to toggle back to the full view. The Gig List automatically shows gigs in the future, up to two years in advance.
Is the Gig List accurate?
▼
We do everything we can to make sure that it is but the list relies on contributions from artists and venues. If in doubt, check with the venue before travelling.
I'm busy, can you add my gig?
▼
We add lots but seriously, it takes seconds to add your gig. This is, without doubt, the most comprehensive guide for the area.
